Eat Koko Krunch at Midnight.

But… DAMN SHIOK CAN!!!

In my quest to embrace being more woman & hopefully grow maternal feelings,
I’ve been forcing Shelly to let me interact with her 2 boys.

I think I do fine. I actually really like carrying Keegan coz he’s soft toy size. HAHA
(The picture above is taken with him on his 1st birthday a few weeks back.)
And Joshua… he’s damn cute actually & insanely obsessed with asking ‘你要小便吗？’
They are both super well-behaved coz Shelly is damn fierce firm with them lah.

On a completely different note, I can’t seem to shed my weight.
Not that I am doing very much about it, but it seems sheer mind power is futile.
2 Buffet Lunch in a row. So much for my pre-trip diet so can eat die there.

*rubs my ‘a little’ belly belly and makes pouty face*

This self-administered 30-min session saved me $25 (if I were to go to a salon)!

Wanted to find a new way to show off my self-manicured nails…
Ended up with some narcissistic photos and not a single good pic of nails.
My MacBook Air’s cam is not powerful enough to capture details yet,
oh just as well, can’t see my 3 ginormous pimple on my face can you.

So anyhow, back to traditional show off and standard posting…

I ♥ my nails and I want to thank God for suddenly after so many years,
gave me a steady(ier) left hand to paint on my right hand. *kisses self*

Say YAY! to doing own manicures! YAY!

Today had dinner at this place in Novena Square and was damn awed.
I ♥ 老黄瓜汤！I LOVE 老黄瓜！Actually I like any 瓜！南瓜，冬瓜，木瓜 blahblahyadda
The chicken curry was soooo tasty and 香, the chicken sooo tender.
The kangkong was fried with Heh Bee soooo fragrant I could smell it a mile away.
The fish… OMG THE FISH OMG… damn soft, and I love the sauce! 甜而不腻！
Must tell my mother to try put wolfberries when she steam fish next time!

Damn good. If only my mum cooks like this can! HAHA

Barely moving much these days, and totally NOT exercising.
So I’ve taken to randomly replacing lunch/dinner with canned whole kernel corn.
I’m not even sure if this is fattening too, but damn! It tastes good and feels light.
So whatever~

Note: Hosen whole kernel corn is softer and sweeter.
But Ayam brand’s corn is waaayyy crunchier. Super 有口感!

It’s Time of the Month again, and I am having the great grandmother of all cramps,
backache, and pimple outbreak, and bloated-ness and horrendous mood swing! FML!

Feel like a fat chick. *blows up cheek and poke poke with glittery nails*

I love celebrations, I love festivals, I LOVE 中秋节！
Since I’ll be away for Mid-Autumn but don’t want to miss the celebration,
I’ve decided to BRING MY OWN LANTERN & CANDLES on my trip! heheheehe

The other day, I was asking on Twitter when is the exact date of Mid-Autumn.
And as it turns out, it seems most people don’t know or got the exact date wrong!
So as a ‘Public Service’ Announcement, I shall share that it’s 22nd Septemeber!!

Just awhile ago, I was laughing my head off at this…
‘I bought your mom mooncake from Li Bai. Gooood gooood stuff!’

*hysterical with happiness*

My nails were brittle and have a tendency to chip at the sides when it gets long,
especially my thumb (coz of intense BB-ing) and forefinger nails.
Then Barf recommended me to try the GNC Fish oil which works like magic!

I bought this via Drugstore.com which is cheaper than in SG,
and just 2 weeks into it, I can feel the difference in my nails. NO MORE CHIPPING!
It also does ALOT more for overall health than just improve nail condition.
My only gripe about it is fishy burp that makes me feel really icky.

But the good condition of my nails had allowed me to grow them out very nicely,
and I no longer find myself running off to the salon to fix my nails - Save Money!
Thus I decided I can try paint my own nails now since plenty of time to dry
when I am furiously typing away on my lappy and will not ruin them.

I was doing my hair at Orchard Central when I pass by this Missha shop.
Then I remember Garance Dore’s summer colors post, and decided to TRY!
For 3 for $10, it was a cheap experiment & worth the risk, so I did.

AND LOVED IT!!!

The Missha glittery one was SUPER BLING! Very very very damn nice!
The pink one was gorgeous and the blue one was a little too watery for my liking.

When I pass by Sasa 2 weeks back, I decided to experiment with more colors,
at 3 for $10, I bought the range of pink/purple tone colors…

I LOVED IT TOOOOOOO!!!!
The colors were thick with even consistency, the brush was great,
and I easily managed to paint my nails without much trouble at all!

And so I went back for more… and tried another brand too!
The blue & green Sylvie ones were going at 2 for $4.50(!!! !!! !!!)

This was slightly harder to apply coz it was a little too thick,
and the second coat have a tendency to become too gooey thus uneven.
And it also easily smudges with a light knock when it wasn’t dry.

BUT BUT!!! It was nothing my trusty Poshe/ Seche QuickDry Top coat won’t save!
After just one layer of the super duper Top Coat - It dried BEAUTIFULLY in an instant!

Am loving my new found joy of self-love nails with cheap whimsical colors!
